No major changes from last predictions Prediction are based on a Full Flight estimated burst at 86,000 Ft NOTE: Is questionable and too early to know if we are going to have a flight on Saturday. If we fly It looks so far the the flight will be a Control Cut, The Flight control team will talk it over tomorrow afternoon just in case there are any major changes and decide the status of this flight. .MARINE...ROUGH AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE WATERS THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND...WITH SEAS IN THE 5 TO 10 FOOT RANGE. BUOY 41403 200 MILES NORTH OF ST THOMAS IS SHOWING 9.5 FOOT SEAS...WITH ENE SWELLS PASSING THROUGH AT AROUND 9 SECONDS. ALSO STRONG ENERGY COMING IN AT AROUND 7 TO 8 SECONDS...SO EXPECT VERY CHOPPY SEAS. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF THE LOCAL COASTAL WATERS FOR TODAY...EXCEPT THE NEAR SHORE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST COASTAL WATERS OF PUERTO RICO. THERE IS APRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR THE NEAR SHORE SOUTH WATERS. SYNOPSIS:
Forecast are based on GFS and NAM short range model, The flight is still looking tricky we don't have ideal conditions, the highest winds are between 60 and 70 MPH at 40k ft and over 30MPH between 20K and 55K ft.Overall trajectory is to the East-South-East. Also ash from the Soufiere Hills Volcano is expected to stay well south of the island.
